Scott Gaffney was born in San Diego, California, but spent most of his life growing up in Hawaii.  He entered the finance field via the Bank of Hawaii, where he managed a number of branches.  In 1973, as a result of his children’s health, he and his family moved to the State of Arizona.

His first assignment was as Sales Manager for 80 branches of the Valley National Bank of Arizona.  That position gave him the opportunity to join the Wells Fargo Credit Corporation, as the Sales Manager for the State of Arizona.  In 1986 he opened his own mortgage broker operation, and remained there for the next 24 years.

Scott has served as President of the Arizona Association of Mortgage Brokers, past President of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, Education Foundation, and served on their national Board of Directors for over 13 years.  He also served on the Executive Committee for the Western Region Mortgage Lenders Conference, and was selected to be Broker of the Year for the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

Over the past 13 years he has acted as a Consultant in the countries of Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgsytan, and the Ukraine, relating to commercial banking, mortgage banking, and bank sales.

His career has allowed him to deal with not only residential mortgages, but construction, and commercial lending as well.  Finally, a few years ago, he added the reverse mortgage product to the list of products he can bring to his customers.
