Your impact on the world is significant whether or not you are aware of it, and even whether or not you desire it. – Gary Zukar, American Author
This month’s Homie Highlight, Amy DiCiccio, fits into both categories mentioned in the quote. Her aptitude and overall impact speak for itself. Her attitude does not seek acknowledgement for the high level in which she operates. In fact, she prefers to avoid the attention and recognition she receives from others. “Ever since joining Homeowners in 2013, she has been an incredible Homie,” Regional Manager Tim Jorden recounts. “When she connected with Lori Bowman in 2014, it quickly became evident of how talented she is and how impactful she would be on Lori’s team. We are SO lucky to have her at Homeowners!”
Amy DiCiccio is a Licensed Mortgage Professional Assistant approaching her 9 year Homieversary with the organization. As part of The Bowman Team, Amy is a central piece in the American dream of homeownership for our clients. Amy’s impact can be felt on all sides of the mortgage transaction. She communicates to our borrowers regularly with progress updates, items needed to complete the loan package, and assists in putting the pieces together for underwriting and closing. Done always with a smile on her face and service on her mind, Amy is simply summarized as amazing. “Amy is Amy-zing ‘amazing’,” shares Lori Bowman. “She keeps the team in line. She has the best sense of humor. She keeps us laughing and keeps the job fun. You never have to ask her twice.”
Amy’s ability to make a positive impact stretches even further with her charitable giving, a value mutually shared with Homeowners. She describes a humbling experience: “I have been with Homeowners for almost nine years and have always admired the culture the company brings to their employees. I was very proud to be part of a charity event when Homeowners bussed employees to a Feed My Starving Children event. We all put on very trendy hairnets and packed up food to be shipped to the other side of the world to help children and families in dire need. One of our clients had initiated this event and several employees showed up to assist, and it was amazing to see all the support from my fellow Homies, including management.” The Bowman Team continues to be active participants in the company-led charity drives each year, recently joining arms for Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center.
Amy’s favorite activity? Anything with family! While they permanently reside in Scottsdale, AZ, Amy, her husband and their 3 rescue collies frequently pack up the car for holiday and weekend trips to Flagstaff where they enjoy hiking and the cool mountain air. With extended family spread out through Wisconsin and Texas, they’re able to rack up those frequent flyer miles since family time is everything. In Amy’s words, blaance is ‘crucial to one’s happiness’.
Back at work, Amy is very much aware of her teammates contributions. She always has a desire to boast about them. “I could not be where I am today without my team. I am part of an amazing team, we help each other, lift each other up and support each other through the good times and the bad. We are all shining stars and I want to share the spotlight with them.” When thinking of Leadership and the entire Homeowners family she adds, “The management team has always had my back and has always supported me. They give me their full attention with all interactions I have with them. I work with so many amazing, hard-working people and feel very blessed to be part of an organization with so many caring employees.” We are blessed to have Amy and her undeniable embodiment of our company Mission: We exist to improve the lives we touch. People are the reason for everything we do and achieve.
3 words that best describe Amy: Effective. Infectious. Impactful.
