Community as defined by Oxford: “A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.”
This month’s Highlight shares a great sense of community, both in her professional life and her personal life. While Homeowners Financial Group experienced its fourth straight record-funding month, she shines in her dedication to our common goal and the best interests of our clients. HFG’s commitment to our employees is expressed as she states, “I’m proud of the community that HFG has created. This company has shown me that your name and hard work have value. No one is a number here.” Relating to her own commitment to coworkers and those around her, she adds, “When a fellow Homie fell ill and I went to visit her, the cards, emails and flowers she received filled my heart with joy! Her friends and family were floored that so many people from her company would take the time to do that… I firmly state That’s the Culture of HFG.”
Tina Hernandez is a Closer/Funder out of our Chandler, Arizona branch, recently celebrating her fifth Homieversary in July. Predominate responsibilities in this position are preparing closing loan packages for individual loan types in accordance with Bank and Investor guidelines as well as Secondary Marketing requirements. Once our borrower signs, the final component of her closing role is to perform a pre-funding review of the documents for accuracy and issue the funding authorization to complete the dream of homeownership. Tina has a constant desire to put her clients first, and she feels the tools provided to her at HFG further fuel her passion of helping others. “I feel thatI have been given all the tools to be successful, which includes a supportive management and family-oriented work environment. I love working with my fellow Homies to create homeownership for so many people.” VP of Production Management Nitesh Patel adds, “Tina is a true asset to not only our closing team but to the company. She definitely goes the extra mile to ensure she is providing the best service possible to our title partners and clients. Her knowledge of the industry and closing has come in handy when training new team members. She is always willing to take on more and suggest ideas to promote efficiency.”
When Tina is not closing loans and crushing rush requests like a boss, time with family is indeed her number one. Sporting events are on the top of her list, and she is excited to scream ‘Play Ball’ with the AZ Diamondbacks back in action and AZ Cardinals coming in the fall. Trips to Rocky Point, Mexico (Puerto Peñasco) are the perfect getaway to relish in time at the beach and enjoy some rest and relaxation.
In a perfect blend of professional and personal desire to help the community, Tina took the lead for her branch’s participation in HFG’s annual summer charitable initiative. With our continued focus on family, they selected ICAN – a free youth center in the Phoenix Metro East Valley that offers programming for youth, teens, families and the community. ICAN’s nationally-recognized prevention programming teaches disadvantaged youth real-life skills including goal setting, positive decision making and how to avoid the risky behaviors that are prevalent in the community ICAN serves. To date they have raised over $2,200 in cash donations!
Tina concludes, “I believe HFG trusts and values my work ethic during this unique time, and I will continue to represent and provide outstanding service to all my clients and fellow coworkers.” We know you will continue to deliver for our clients, our employees and your community, and we look forward to supporting you in all facets!
