Driven (/ˈdrivən/): determined to succeed, highly energetic and motivated, as defined by Meriam-Webster. As defined by Homeowners Financial Group, you will just see this Highlight’s picture next to that word in the dictionary. Driven to be successful. Driven to provide her clients the best mortgage experience. Driven to give back to her community.

Jenn Hoberg is a Licensed Mortgage Professional who started with HFG in October 2016 and currently serves the Northwest Iowa and South Dakota markets. Let’s be clear from the start, she operates in a branch of 1. Her decision to join us was driven by our organization’s commitment to cultivate an environment for mortgage originators to grow their business while providing operational partners who recognize sense of urgency. She profoundly states, “The moments I am proud to be a Homie are countless due to the amazing team of people that I call my fellow Homies. It is priceless that you can pick up the phone and call literally anyone in this company and they are always willing to lend a hand. I may be a branch of 1, but I am a team of 500.”

Jenn currently serves as the Culture Committee Lead for our Midwest region, and when asked about her willingness to step up to the role, she says with a smile: “Unlike some other companies, the Culture at HFG is not just some plaque that hangs on a wall – it is deep in our core values. When people ask me why I like working for HFG so much, my answer is always culture and the amazing support system.”  In this position, Jenn is the driver for our two annual charitable initiatives amongst other things she does out of pure kindness.  Yes, her single efforts included passing out animal crackers to Police in her area on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day with a note saying “This place would be a ZOO without you.” Because of course she did! Her efforts assisted HFG in providing 1600 items valued over $22,000 to multiple charities just in 2018 alone.

Outside of work and the tough winter season, Jenn and husband Kurt love the great outdoors.  Both are avid golfers and enjoy offshore fishing far from the lake or ocean shore. With a passion for animals, they also enjoy working with and showing off their show horses. Since her husband is a home builder, it is hard not to talk shop while enjoying dinner at home after a long work day.

Back at the office, Jenn explains the company’s philosophy. “HFG has given me nothing but 100% support since I started here in 2016. Homeowners is always developing ways to make our jobs easier as Loan Officers with technology tools, training and even calls from the President of the company to simply check on me and see what else can benefit the Sales team.”  Regional Manager Brett Toyne says about Jenn’s journey, “Jenn is one of the most positive, upbeat and hardworking people I have ever met. Having had no prior mortgage experience, Jenn has done a phenomenal job in learning the business, developing strong referral relationships and providing outstanding customer service to everyone she works with! I am very proud to be on the same team as Jenn and excited to see her continue to take her business to the next level!”

3 words that best describe Jenn: The. Real. Deal.
