This month’s Highlight is no stranger to giving. Giving her time and focus to her family, giving exceptional service to her clients and coworkers, and giving herself to causes much greater. She reflects, “Our Be Kind T-shirt project with the Midwest Culture Committee was a VERY proud moment for me. I had this idea, and with the help of Jenn Hoberg and Ruthie Hunt, we were able to bring this idea of mine to life.”
This idea was to engage with Jordyn’s Summer Shirt Project* to help share kindness and promote positivity. They bought t-shirts to benefit Jordyn’s Project and sent them out to her entire region as a reminder of what a simple act of kindness can do. Referencing an internal post recently from CEO Bill Rogers, “You never know what someone is going through. Be kind. Always.” Our Highlight reflects, “it is the best feeling to be able to give to others and be sure Bill’s message continues. Being a part of the Culture Committee has had a huge impact on me, now being more involved in our community. The smallest gestures can have great impacts.” Kindness from her heart.
Jill Jerzak is a Licensed Mortgage Professional who joined HFG in December 2014 and is based out of our Waite Park, MN location. Client relationships and kindness are a true platform to her success as a person and a prized employee with HFG. New to the mortgage industry years ago, Jill reflects on a particular Veteran client that remains a close connection, “He was so appreciative and said if he ever needs any help again or if he knows anyone who is buying a home or refinancing he would proudly refer them to me.” We would be remise not to mention the peanut brittle he brings for them to share when they just chat and catch up on life. She adds, “I love the relationships we can build and maintain!” Servantly Kind.
When Jill is not crushing client expectations, family time is the relaxation time. Lazy days spent at their lake lot on Lake Cochrane, South Dakota are plentiful – a great area they enjoy as a playground for campers, anglers, boaters and those who simply enjoy the outdoors. They have a little slice of heaven and it is the perfect reward for working hard. Reading a book surrounded by nature is a truly serene place for Jill. Kind to her work and life balance.
Reflecting on her experiences with us, she states, “I love that the door is open for anything with HFG. I have grown year-over-year and love that we always have someone behind us giving us the tools to help us grow. I love what I do.” What we love is Jill’s passion for people and purpose – a single goal of impacting the Clients in which we are fortunate to assist in the process of homeownership. Her focus is real and her approach is family. Fellow Culture Committee advocate Brandon Durham expresses his receipt of the Be Kind t-shirt as part of her initiative, “Jill doesn’t understand the impact she has on her peers and those around her in the best Jill kinda way. Her handwritten card and message moved me to tears. Smiles are easy but not always easy. This smile was ear-to-ear and I wear the shirt with pride.” Homeowners Financial Group will continue to support Jill and her ongoing journey in life of making each and every connection a positive one. Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate, and so is Jill Jerzak.
