This month’s Highlight is a true reflection of servant leadership as seen in her daily actions. Her recipe contains equal parts of style and philosophy, a large pinch of selflessness and a generous portion of empowerment. Mixing it together creates a ‘Dream More’ atmosphere of growth best described by Monica Dinglasan, Marketing Compliance Coordinator, “She is a wonderful leader and teammate! She has been an inspiration to me both professionally and personally not just for the clear vision and momentum she has for our department but also the goals she achieves outside of work amongst the various charities and young professionals groups she devotes her time to.”
Kelsey Waite joined the Marketing team at HFG in February of 2016 and her individual and team contributions to the organization quickly had her promoted to Marketing Manager. In ‘Learning More’ and passion behind her efforts in all aspects of life, she completed the Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) program to assist her efforts in leading an amazing team of creative individuals. Always just part of the team and the biggest supporter of them, Hannah Rogers, Digital Marketing Coordinator reflects, “Kelsey truly makes our MarkeTeam go ‘round. She would never take credit for it, but we are all able to shine because of her direction and support. I always feel like she is my #1 fan and I am so lucky to be able to learn from her every day.”
Known for rolling up her sleeves, Kelsey is ready to ‘Do More’ and show her team what they can achieve together. More to enhance the brand of Homeowners Financial Group, more to arm our markets and Sales leaders with information and more creativity that allows HFG to uniquely provide a great service to our employees, clients and partners.
While Kelsey continues to oversee the day-to-day of Marketing, her journey in life has recently brought many more smiles. During a recent trip to Santa Barbara, CA – where she completed her bachelor’s degree at UC Santa Barbara – she became engaged to now fiancé Cameron with wedding plans in the works. The first aspect of the family growing was Copper, a dog they recently adopted to be with their pup Carter, and moving into their brand new family home.
Becoming More is a path created by Kelsey with her continued focus on others. Blending both business and personal, she serves on numerous committees and foundations to elevate others to become more. As Culture Committee VP of Marketing for HFG, sharing our DNA as we grow is a foundational aspect of who she is. Outside of work, her core resonates to children with visual impairments, working with the Foundation for Blind Children in Phoenix and serving on the Young Visionaries Board, as well as a recent trip north to change the lives of those at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. It is no surprise that all of her aspirations awarded her the HFG 2019 Community Co-Champion of the Year. Summarizing the determination she has in making a difference, Margo Cobb, Marketing Designer summarizes, “Kelsey is the epitome of grit and grace. She tackles challenges with determination and resolution – Grit. She gives back to her work, family and community with generosity and kindness – Grace.
