If you’re in the market for a vacation home, you’re not alone. Sales of vacation properties are expected to continue rising through the end of 2021, according to the National Association of REALTORS®.

As you might expect, the increase in the number of people looking for a vacation home is driving prices up. But there are still areas where prices remain affordable. If you’ve been thinking about buying a vacation home, Realtor.com put together a list of the most affordable beach and lake towns in the country for 2021.

Unsurprisingly, most of the beach towns on the list are along the East coast, but you’ll also find a couple affordable options in the South, plus one in the Pacific Northwest. And if you’re worried that you’ll have to trade fun for affordability, don’t be. The towns offer a wide range of things to do including plenty of shopping, restaurants, boardwalks, festivals, golf courses and more.

If feeling the sand between your toes isn’t your thing, a house on (or near) the lake might be a better option. Unlike the beach scene, which is concentrated on the East Coast, most of the lake towns on the list are in the Midwest and South and boast attractions that include tubing, kayaking, mini-golf, water parks and more.

Whether the beach or lake is your style, Homeowners Financial Group can help you get the home loan that’s right for you. We offer fixed and variable rate mortgage products for primary and secondary residences. Give us a call today to get started.
