About Zaira Cortes

Zaira is a Colorado native. Originally born in Chihuahua, Mexico, she and her family have called Colorado their home since 1996. While attending Metropolitan State University where she studied Political Science and Media Broadcasting, Zaira was a member of MSU’s student run multimedia news platform, Met Media, where she won an Emmy as an International News Anchor.

Post university, Zaira started thinking about owning her first home when she joined Jessica Uphoff’s Team as a receptionist in 2017. Since then, she fell in love with all the intricacies of mortgage and worked her way up as a receptionist, Jr. Processor, Processor, Loan Officer Assistant, and ultimately got her MLO license in 2022.

Zaira works on a team that loves to take on the loans other lenders may not see an option for. She has experience with first time home buyers, down payment assistance clients, ITIN loans, jumbo loans, bank statement loans, refinances, foreign national loans and anything in between.

Zaira is a dog mom to her Saint Bernard, Wendy and a loving daughter, sister, and friend. When she is not working to get clients the best loan for them, you can find her cheering on the Nuggets and Broncos, dancing at a concert, enjoying the outdoors if it’s rainy and gloomy and filling her home with all things kooky and spooky.
