“The difference between something good and something great is attention to detail.” – Charles R. Swindoll

This month’s Highlight is known in her market and in the organization as someone who flat out gets it done. With priorities and critical tasks changing regularly, the speed in which she operates is impressive. Branch Manager Tammy Boldt shares, “She is at her best when she is juggling a lot of items at once. I will never forget walking past her office almost 4 years ago, and she was holding her then 6 month old sleeping daughter with the phone cradled in her ear talking to a client while typing, all at the same time.”  When asked to assist the team, her normal ‘got it’ response is then followed by ‘done and done,’ leaving no question of the quality.

Lauren Iglesias is a Licensed Mortgage Professional Assistant located in our St. Petersburg, FL branch since December of 2018. Having joined the industry just 4 years ago, she is known for not letting anything intimidate her. As a Go-To in the office, not only is Lauren great at learning new things, she is equally great at sharing her knowledge with her fellow Homies. In this LMPA role, Lauren excels by recognizing the detailed work required before moving loans into Processing and Underwriting. Manager Tammy explains, “Part of being a great loan officer is being able to dig into a file and look for any items that may need to be answered that are not obvious at first glance. Basically, get to know your client better than just a surface application. Lauren thrives on being in the know and is fantastic at finding things that need to be addressed before the file leaves her desk.” Part of Homeowners Financial Group DNA, we recognize that there is a family behind every transaction and this attention to detail provides top-level service to our Clients.

Recently announced in our Company Awards Newsletter, Lauren has been recognized as part of our 2019 President’s Club. This includes an amazing trip in June to Maui – perfect for Lauren, a beach lover. Responding to the award, she reflects on her work experiences: “After only a year with HFG, I was selected for President’s Club. At my previous company, I never felt like anyone even knew my name. To be recognized in a support role is nearly unheard of.” Lauren references HFG including all employees as eligible for President’s Club, as we recognize hard work and dedication in any role. Prior trips have included the Bahamas, Las Vegas, and Lake Tahoe to name a few, and we look forward to enjoying the time in Hawaii.

When Lauren is not crushing her days at work, she balances spending time with her husband Mario and two daughters. This includes beautiful outdoor family days at the award-winning Clearwater Beach. To recharge, she understands the importance of some ‘me time’ which includes quiet yoga sessions or very loud concerts. If Pearl Jam is in town, you can find Lauren in the front row every time.

Back at work, Lauren describes a recent success story where she and the team united to make a dream happen for a family within a short window. “Last month we received a new loan on December 19th. The borrower really wanted to close before the end of the year and I didn’t know if the business days existed to make that happen. Then the most HFG-like thing happened. On the same day we took the application and received the purchase contract, we also received conditional approval on the loan. Suddenly the impossible became 100% plausible. From processing to underwriting to closing, everyone performed like the rockstars they are and we had clear to close on December 27th. You cannot beat the speed, precision, and compassion felt throughout this entire company.” Speaking of the pieces that put these puzzles together, she adds, “We have, hands down, the BEST group of people in one place! Regardless of how stressful our jobs are, there is always someone right there to make you laugh (usually John Lee or Ashley Kein). Coming to the office and working alongside my best friend Alise Stricklett (and the world’s greatest processor/underwriter) is the highlight of my week… just don’t tell my husband or kids that!” Sorry Lauren, we slipped.
